Feeling the Navy

Michelle's wearing:
Navy Blue Heels from NINE WEST
Pastel Blue Blazer   from TOPSHOP
 Striped Tank Top  from BLOSSOM
 Textured Flared Skirt  from SHES-STORY

When I saw these pair of blue navy heels from Nine West I instantly fell in love. I love the simple timeless design of the shoe with the pointed front and the unique diagonal straps which provides full support for my entire feet. I still haven't had the chance to take these babies out for long walks yet, but so far for short distance walks they are feeling very comfortable!

I think working in corporate has really washed out my sense of fashion. I've only been wearing black and white combinations to work and it feels great to finally add something with a pop of colour back into my wardrobe. I'm definitely going to find some opportunities to wear these babies to work! I don't care :P

Face Down

Susie Bubble Mesh Overlay Tshirt from HONG KONG BOUTIQUE
Blue Skirt from HONG KONG BOUTIQUE
Cat Eye Sunnies from SINGAPOREAN BOUTIQUE
Spike Necklace from LOVISA
Double Layer Tooth Necklace from SPORTSGIRL
Black Tbar Heels from FORVER 21

Hey guys, so after going through my luggage from Hong Kong I kinda realised most of what I bought were skirts :P I just can't get enough! To the point that I don't even have enough tops to match the bottoms with :( I guess that means its time to shop again hahhaa. However the quality of some of the things I bought weren't as great like the skirt in these photos creased every time I sat or bent down. I'll just have to stand the whole time I'm wearing this skirt next time lol a bit impractical but oh well.

As usual I stocked up on some tshirts but I'm especially loving the polka dot mesh layer of this one which has blogger Susie Bubble's face on it :P Maybe one day I can be influential enough to have my face on a piece of clothing haha I'll keep dreaming.

Oh My Chic!

Michelle's wearing:
Oh My Chic Dress  from HONG KONG MARKETS
Houndstooth Clutch   from HONG KONG MARKETS
Laced Gillie Heels  from WINDSOR SMITH
 Floppy Hat from BARCELONA

Last weekend the Brig and I decided to visit the Rozelle market to scout for potential locations to sell our second hand clothes. Well tbh, that didn't really go too well, but at least we managed to drive down to Balmain and take our blog pictures! We found this beautiful and peaceful location with a perfect view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I don't think I'll ever get sick of taking photos with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the beautiful fluffy clouds!

Of course, apart from the amazing Sydney Harbour Bridge I don't think you can miss the Oh My Chic statement piece that I'm wearing. With no surprise, this piece was carefully picked by Brig as part of my birthday present. Clearly, the brig always has an eye for the most trendiest things! :)

Playing the Field

Brigette's Wearing
London Tshirt from HONG KONG BOUTIQUE
Green Plaid Midi Skirt from HONG KONG BOUTIQUE
Black Heeled Sandals from ASOS
Pop Art Clutch from ASOS
Black Floppy Hat from BOOHOO

I'm actually not a very tall person so I've always stayed away from long skirts because I didn't want to look even shorter but when I was in Hong Kong I walked past so many midi skirts that I couldn't resist buying one! I thought why not give it a try because style is all about experimentation. I chose a green plaid midi skirt which is something I wouldn't normally buy but it caught my eye and I couldn't forget about it so the obvious solution was to buy it :P When it was teamed up with heels it made a world of difference and my previous doubt in purchasing these skirts disappeared. They didn't make me look shorter but gave an illusion of a longer torso! Woo!! Perfect choice after all :)

Organic

Michelle's wearing:
Black Crop Top from HEART ON FIRE
Mixed Printed Green Shorts  from ANGEL BIBA
T-Bar Black Heels from FOREVER 21
 Studded Black Clutch from SPORTSGIRL
Hi guys! do you notice anything different about me or should I state the obvious? Yup, thats right I have new hair cut! :O This hair cut was really unplanned and unexpected. So the story was, I was bored waiting for my grandma to finish off her grocery shopping so I decided to pay the korean hair dresser a visit. I got to the salon and showed the hair stylist a picture of a mid-length hair style and next minute she grabbed my hair and chopped a whole chunk out. How was I feeling? well kind of helpless and speechless since there was nothing I could do to turn back time. At first, I was really hated the haircut since I haven't had such short hair since primary school! I've always been the type that loved long hair. But it's been a week now and I'm actually quite liking it and my friends have been complementing on my new look. I guess I'll just have to find ways to work it until it grows back again :P Hopefully it will grow back to mid-length by the time of my graduation! I don't want any regrets when looking back at my photos 10-20years time in the future :P

inflorescence

Floral Top from CHICABOOTI
Floral Skort from ZARA
Milk Carton Bag from SINGAPORE BOUTIQUE
Black Cutout Heels from FOREVER 21
Black Sunnies from FOREVER 21

So I think that it's safe to say I kinda love these floral shorts a bit too much. I can't seem to stop wearing them regardless of the weather :P It can be matched with a jumper for the colder weather or with a sheer top for the hotter weather in Sydney. I actually didn't want to buy these shorts at first because I didn't think I was going to wear them that much. Little did I know that the complete opposite would happen haha. I love how the shorts have a layer over them so it creates an illusion of a skirt (maybe I should be calling it a skort instead haha) and also a peekaboo of tartan at the bottom just to make it that extra bit special. I should probably give more love to the other bottoms just sitting in my closet waiting to be worn (maybe even for the first time lol).

Also I am wearing a lot of new items that I bought overseas. I'm loving these new heels that look a little edgy but I wish they gave me more height! I'm also loving my new bag which looks like a milk carton :P The boy spotted it when we were shopping in Singapore and he was like "you need to buy this!" I think he shops with me so much that he knows what i like hehe and as usual I bought about three new pairs of sunnies on my trip which I can hopefully wear if the weather in Sydney gets warmer since this past week has been just rain rain rain :(

Simplistic

Michelle's wearing:
 Grid Top from BLOSSOM
Grey Flared Skirt from HONG KONG (Causeway Bay)
Strappy heels from ASOS
 Vintage Chanel Bag from CHANEL

I styled this outfit for dinner the other night. I'm so in love with the sillouette of this flared skirt that I purchased with Brigette at Hong Kong. The skirt originally came in two colours yellow and grey. At first I was really drawn to the eye-catching colour of yellow. However, after careful consideration, I decided to go for the grey skirt instead. Yes, I know that it is a neutral and conservative colour but its simplicity brings out the elegance and draws the focus towards the lace details of the skirt. This skirt is definitely one of my favourite purchases from overseas and I can't wait to style it in more unique ways in the future!
